Frequently Asked Questions
Will these labels survive the freezer?
Yes. BOPP is rated to -40°C and maintains full adhesion through freeze-thaw cycles. The label and print will not crack, peel, or lose colour after freezing. They're used by ice cream brands, frozen meal companies, and craft breweries shipping bottle-conditioned ales across Canada.
Are these labels safe for food jars and bottles?
Absolutely. The adhesive is FDA-compliant for indirect food contact and safe for glass jars, HDPE bottles, PET containers, and tin lids. We can also supply labels that meet Canadian CFIA requirements for food product labelling.
What's the minimum order quantity?
Our minimum is 500 labels per SKU. Bundles of 500, 1,000, and 2,500 are our most popular quantities. Need fewer for a product test? Ask us about our sample pack — we'll print a short run so you can validate the material before committing to a full order.
What file format do you need for my design?
We prefer print-ready PDF with 3mm bleed, CMYK colour mode, and all fonts outlined. Adobe Illustrator (.ai) files are also accepted. If you only have a PNG or JPEG, our pre-press team can often work with it — just send it and we'll advise.
Can I get a physical sample before ordering?
Yes. We'll send a blank BOPP sample swatch and, for orders over 1,000 labels, a printed proof before full production. Call 289-687-4158 or email info@luxlabellabs.ca to request your sample pack.
Do you offer custom shapes and sizes?
Yes — any shape, any size. Rectangles, circles, ovals, and custom die-cut shapes are all available. Provide your dimensions or a template, and our pre-press team will set up the die accordingly. Setup fees may apply for custom dies on first orders.
